Learning Objectives:

  • Describe how structures, systems, and outcomes are formulated and monitored within the skilled nursing facility clinical operations

Speaker: Pam Reese, RN

Pam Reese began her career in post-acute care nursing over 23 years ago, beginning as a director of nursing for a 200-bed skilled nursing facility (SNF). From there, she became a district director of clinical operations for Kindred Healthcare, a regional director, and ultimately a vice president of clinical operations for Kindreds Central Region.

In 2003, Pam Joined three other partners in forming Atrium Centers, LLC, where she was the chief clinical officer building the clinical operations from the ground up, beginning with 13 SNFs and expanding to 42 facilities over a 15 year-period.

In 2018 Pam retired and spent several months providing care to her mother with Alzheimer’s. After years of developing memory care training modules, policy, and procedures and collaborating with multiple outside providers, Pam faced the biggest challenge of her life in delivering care versus directing care. After her mom’s death in November 2018, Pam founded Quality Now, LLC, a company that offers support and coaching to the family caregiver.
