No Pain, No Gain? Improving Pain Management in PALTC Using the Newly Revised Clinical Practice Guideline (Archive 11/10/21)

1.0 CME / 1.0 CMD Clinical

This webinar will introduce key features from the newly revised clinical practice guideline (CPG) from AMDA, Pain Management in the Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Setting. Steven Levenson, MD, CMD, and Barbara Resnick, PhD, CRNP, will discuss the updated, more user-friendly format of the CPG; strategies for developing and implementing a systematic approach to pain management; and how using the CPG effectively can help both individual clinicians and entire facilities to improve their pain management practices and outcomes. They will also highlight how the CPG addresses other challenging issues such as the role of opioids in pain management and the differences between treating acute and chronic pain.

AMDA’s Pain Management in the Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Setting CPG is supported by a grant from RRF Foundation for Aging.
